An extensive 60-day voyage through Australia was terminated in the wake of the tragic passing of an older lady who was stranded by the ship on a isolated tropical isle.

The passenger had been walking on Lizard Island with fellow passengers from the cruise ship, but broke off from the excursion for a rest. The liner left without her and came back later that day after the ship staff discovered the lady was not present.

A large-scale hunt found her remains the following day.

"From the little information we have been provided, it looks that there was a failure of care and ordinary reasoning," she stated.
