I'll overwhelm 'serious boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" the American as the pair came face-to-face to publicize next month's bout.

Former two time world boxing king Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I will damage his features and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

Despite such comments, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually recognized for his showmanship - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul instead targeted former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British rival Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Still, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge earnings.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in round four or five and claimed he would prevent the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.

"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the traditional confrontation, with their size difference evident, it emphasized just how improbable this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is truly proceeding.
